This recipe is so quick and simple with the perfect dose of cocoa to give you that chocolately taste to satisfy any mid-afternoon craving. No-baking is required, and if you’re a super ‘dish-avoider’ (like myself) you can do the entire thing in one sauce pan! Just heat the first 5 ingredients over low and stir continuously until silky smooth. Then add the dry ingredients to the same pan and stir until combined. Voila!

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
- 1 1/4 cups rice crispy cereal
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (I used peanuts)
Instructions
- Heat peanut butter, honey, brown sugar, cocoa and water in a medium-sized saucepan over low heat. Stir continuously until smooth and mixed well. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Add quick cooking oats, rice crispy cereal and chopped nuts to the saucepan. Stir until combined.
- Press into a 9x9-inch baking pan (8x8 is fine too if you want a thicker square) and freeze for 30 mins before serving.
Notes
Feel free to use any nuts or nut butter you have on-hand to make these your own.
